Spray Tan Prep

Before Your Tan:

Shower, wax/shave, and exfoliate the day before your appointment. On the morning of your appointment, take a normal shower and ensure you remove all soap. DO NOT apply any bar soap, especially Dove and Ivory, lotions, creams, deodorant, oils, or makeup.

Wear loose, baggy clothing and underwear/bikini bottoms that support the desired spray tan line. A bra is optional; most people go braless when getting a tan, but it is all based on the client’s comfort level.

After Tan: Vegan Spray Tan

Allow the tan to develop for 8 to 12 hours, depending on how dark you would like to go. Do not exceed 12 hours, as the tan may turn out uneven.

After Tan:Rapid Tans

Rapid Tans are based on your desired darkness: 1–2 for light, 3–4 for medium, 6 for dark. Do not exceed 6 hours, or it will be uneven!

After Tanning:

Avoid activities such as swimming, working out, or anything involving sweat or water that may remove the tan.

Rinse with no product and allow the water to remove the tan solution. Once the water is clear, you know all the bronzer has been removed. It takes 12–24 hours for the tan to fully develop, so don’t be alarmed if it seems light; it will darken up.

Upkeep:

Moisturize, Moisturize! Tans thrive and last longer with hydrated skin, so make sure you keep your skin moisturized for a long-lasting effect. Do not use Dove or Ivory soap.
